One year already? Boy that flew by! We would like to welcome everyone to Roxbury this weekend to take part in the many fun activities but we’d like to draw special attention to the tasty, boozy ones! We’ll be having something to taste starting with sangria on Friday at 5pm (happy hour!!) and going all the way through Monday! Just our way of saying THANK YOU for your patronage!
We are pleased to introduce and carry Wayside Cider, pressed right here in neighboring Delhi, NY! These ciders feature local wild and heirloom apples, all hand picked and bottled. Clean and refreshing, the cider is mellowed through partial aging in oak bourbon barrels from local distillery Delaware Phoenix in Walton, NY. This imparts a subtle but nice complexity.
Always on a quest to bring you great products at affordable prices, we introduce El Espolòn tequila. Paying tribute to the legendary “pelea de gallos” (fighting cocks) of Spanish American tradition, Espolòn takes its name from the “spur” found on the back of the rooster’s leg. This post will also refresh us all on the different variants of tequila.
BLANCO: A delicate, sweet agave with floral, tropical fruit and lemon zest aromas and a hint of pepper. It has a soft mouthfeel and a light- to medium-bodied palate with bright agave flavor, notes of pepper, vanilla bean, grilled pineapple and spice.
REPOSADO: Aged six months in American oak barrels. Rich and golden-hued, it has a spicy aroma with a hint of caramel fudge. Its bold, round palate is medium- to full-bodied and has a rich roasted agave taste with sweet tropical fruit, vanilla and brown spices and a long spicy finish.
AÑEJO: Blue agave, aged over a year in American oak barrels. Beautifully golden in color, it offers a delicate woody aroma with hints of chocolate and butter candy.
Still focusing on Spring and Summer, we bring you Pinot Gris from Firesteed Winery in Oregon.
Expressively aromatic, the wine’s floral and tropical fruit aromas precede flavors of Mandarin orange and Honeydew melon. Mouthwatering and enticing, its bright acidity and broad texture entwine throughout the wine’s lingering finish.
Cheers to Spring!
